You have probably already said YES to your wedding dress. But, now it is time to select the perfect bridesmaid dress. Most likely, your bridesmaids are all different sizes, shapes and maybe even ages. Finding the single bridesmaid dress silhouette that makes all of your bridesmaids happy may feel like a very difficult task to accomplish. Do not worry, you have a lot of options to choose from and we have created a list to help find something that will work for everyone.

Do Your Research First

Before you bring your bridesmaids to the bridal shop, take a little bit of time to browse and research. Print out dress styles from online and tear out pages from magazines of colors that you think you may like to see in person. As you begin to narrow down the styles and colors, keep in mind the cost of your selection. When it comes to price, try to be considerate of your friends’ pocketbooks.  Remember, there is no wedding rule that says that everyone of your bridesmaids must wear the same color, style, or length. But, it is important to determine your plan before going shopping with your bridesmaids.

Select the perfect bridesmaids dress together

The Sparkling Dress – There is no reason why your bridesmaids can’t enjoy sequins, beads and a little sparkle. Let them add a little bit of sparkle to your wedding day.

The  Bridesmaid’s Choice – Let your bridesmaids choose the style and/or color of their dresses. This will help each one of your bridesmaids choose the dress that best represents their personal style.

Mix Up The Lengths – If you cannot choose between a long dress or short one, don’t, have both. You can ask the maid of honor to be in a long dress or have everyone be in different lengths.

The Runway Bridesmaids – Add a little bit of interior design to your wedding party’s dresses by mixing fabrics, adding prints and textures. Try to bring the group design together with a similar shade or complementary color hue.

Ordering Schedule

It is important to remember not to wait until the last minute to order your bridesmaids’ dresses. It can take up to 6 months for orders to arrive and don’t forget about alterations.

Accessories

After you have settled on your bridesmaids dresses, you will have to determine what type of accessories you want to compliment the dresses. What color shoes and heel height do you want to go with the dress? Don’t forget that some shoes are more comfortable than others. Do you want to add bracelets, earrings, and necklaces? If you do want your bridesmaids to wear a certain earring or necklace, you may want to give it as the bridesmaids’ gift to compliment their dresses.
